The first edition of Richard Blome’s A Description of the Island of Jamaica; with the other Isles and Territories in America…, published in 1672, is known in three issues, varying by the bookseller listed on the title page. Bibliographers have disagreed on the priority of these issues. The map of Carolina contained therein exists in three states. Can the state of the Carolina map aid in determining priority?
